Chamber to honor more than 40
Business Advocates
The South Carolina Chamber of
Commerce, the state’s unified voice of business, will present 41 South Carolina
legislators with the fourth annual Business Advocate Award. The awards will be
presented on January 29 at the South Carolina Chamber’s
Business Speaks event to members of the General Assembly who scored 100
percent on the Chamber’s
2012 Legislative Scorecard.

town hall meeting.
This must-attend event will feature a town hall gathering of more than 400 of
South Carolina's leading business people, constitutional officers and members of
the General Assembly.

Theresa Williams earns Chamber Gold Star
Congratulations to our newest gold star recipient, Theresa Williams, for helping
grow the Chamber’s membership. Theresa (Terri) Williams is the Director of
Career Services for
ITT Technical Institute. Terri earned a gold star for referring Scott King
with
C3 King Consulting, LLC.
Building the Chamber’s voice and
strength in numbers, is critical to keeping the ‘unified voice of business’
strong. To acknowledge members who actively promote our organization and
advocacy efforts, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce has established the
Gold Star recognition program. This Gold Star is given to any current member
whose referral results in a new membership. The Gold Star is a small token of
appreciation for commitment to the Chamber and strengthening the voice of South
Carolina’s business community.

Conference: Request for speaker proposals expires Friday
The Chamber is currently accepting proposals through Friday for possible
presentations at the upcoming
23rd Annual Human Resources Conference scheduled
for May 15-17, 2013 in Myrtle Beach. You are invited to submit a proposal to
speak at the conference by Friday, January 25, 2013.

Manufacturers Conference: Hotel cut-off
expires in less than a week
The 3rd Annual Manufacturers Conference: Advanced Manufacturing—Using
